The role of the ABA Specialist is to assist individuals, with behavioral challenges, in their Daily living skills, socialization, traveling, shopping, meal preparation, hygiene and much more. In addition, we seek to help individuals learn replacement behaviors for their challenging behaviors. Everyone we serve is unique and so are their needs, we tailor services based on these needs to ensure individuals are able meet the goals most meaningful to them.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises assigned individuals throughout the day

  • Implements instructional programs

  • Performs chaining techniques to teach more complex tasks

  • Executes prompting (e.g., modeling, manual guidance, verbal)

  • Provides incidental teaching learning opportunities

  • Provides systematic desensitization exposures

  • Collects, summarizes, and reports data

  • Manages problem behaviors and implements behavior reduction programs

  • Contributes to the overall development of instructional and treatment programs

  • Recommends materials, equipment, and supplies

  • Carries out other duties as may be requested by the Clinical Director

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field required

  • Registered Behavioral Technician (preferred)

  • Is passionate about working with Individuals with I/DD

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to pass required background check, State, Federal, Central Registry and Drug tests

  • Complete all required trainings

  • Must possess a valid driver's license that is currently in good standing with a good record

 

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

  • 4 hour shift

  • 8 hour shift

  • After school

  • Day shift

  • Evening shift

  • Monday to Friday

  • Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
The COVID-19 vaccination and booster are mandatory for all employees.

OR Weekly Testing as required by DDD.

 

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bergen, NJ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

 

Experience:

  • Applied behavior analysis: 2 years (Required)

 

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)

  • Night Shift (Preferred)

 

Work Location: One location
